Adani Group has announced mega investment in Andhra Pradesh. Adani Group will set up two new cement manufacturing plants, 15,000 MW renewable power projects and a data center in the state.
Adani Group announced to set up new plants and invest in Andhra Pradesh Global Investors Conference. But at the moment no data has been given regarding the amount of investment.
Adani Ports & SEZ CEO Karan Adani said at the Andhra Pradesh Global Investors Summit that the Adani Group plans to double the capacity of the two operational sea ports of Krishnapatnam and Gangavaram.
Will make cement plant, data center
This investment will be in addition to the Rs 20,000 crore already invested in the state. This will generate 18000 direct and 54000 indirect jobs in the state. Karan Adani said that in the state, the group will set up cement plants with a capacity of 10 million tonnes per annum in Cuddapah and Nadikudi and a data center in Visakhapatnam.
First appearance of Adani family after Hindenburg affair
This is the first public appearance by the Adani family in the country after the American short-seller Hindenburg report. Gautam Adani did not attend a similar investor conference organized by the Uttar Pradesh government in Lucknow last month.
Target to double the capacity of ports
Karan Adani said that Adani Group currently operates two largest private ports in Andhra Pradesh – Krishnapatnam and Gangavaram, with a total capacity of 100 million tonnes per annum, with a target to double its capacity in the next 5 years. Also want to convert these ports into Industrial Ports City.
Expansion of 15,000 MW renewable power project in 5 districts
Karan Adani said that in the next few years, 15,000 MW of renewable power projects are being developed in 5 districts of Anantapur, Cuddapah, Kurnool, Visakhapatnam and Vizianagaram. Our other investments in the state include cement manufacturing, cement plants and data centres.
Adani Group is working on developing a 400 MW data center in Visakhapatnam. Karan Adani said that these projects will bring more employment opportunities and demonstrate our commitment for the sustainable development of the state of Andhra Pradesh.
Speaking on the CSR (Corporate Social Responsibility) being done by Adani Foundation, Karan Adani said that we are investing in education, healthcare, nutrition, access to potable water, sports and skills and sustainable livelihood in the state .
Our team is running the programs in Nellore, Tirupati and Visakhapatnam districts. At present, we have invested more than Rs.4200 crores.
