America advanced to the quarterfinals of Concachampions with some pressure. He let Chivas grow that he had already minimized, and with patience and self-love they won 3-2 in the Aztec stadiumbut the 5-3 aggregate score closed the door to the surprise.

The courage inspired by the defeat in the first leg gave Guadalajara bravery, without burning the ships, and the ball hitting the crossbar by Fernando González was proof of this. Diego Valdes It was annulled, but the crossbar also shook.

The “Chivas, Chivas!” It was almost imperceptible in the stands, subdued from the first game, with the win that cleared up the Eagles’ pass, in the midst of the red-and-white darkness, which caused little presence from their fans.

In the universal epic, the climax of the story comes when the greatest falls. But in a fight of giants, the most daring ends up standing. El Rebaño maintained his vital signs with goals from Cade Cowell (12′) and Ricardo Marín (32′).

So, there was fear and tension in both teams, in the stadium and much of the country, for not receiving the aggregate tie, or for not letting go of the hope in a careless manner. The second thing happened: Alan Mozo He scored an own goal (51′), and destroyed the possibility of penalties.

Alejandro Zendejas seemed to deliver the coup de grace nine minutes later, although Roberto Alvarado once again put the emotional state on the Rebaño side (63′), to at least add Guadalajara’s first victory in Concachampions before America.

The red-and-white minority at Azteca seemed to be the majority when he entered Javier Hernandez, a man who knows how to play among giants, but who tried to be more of a motivation than a solution in front of goal, in the absence of two scores that never came.

Chivas remembered his height too late. In his capricious destiny, it was planned that he would face América again in three days, in a Liga MX duel, where he has not won for two days.

America, meanwhile, awaits the winner of the series between Alajuelense and the New England Revolution (0-4)trying to dispel more surprises, since in four Concachampions games, the champion had two defeats.
