In another incident of human-elephant conflict in Assam’s Morigaon district, a wild jumbo killed a person and seriously injured two forest guards. 

Adeep Kunwar was crushed to death by a wild elephant on Saturday night in Sonaikushi forest area of ​​Dahali under Jagirod police station area of ​​Morigaon district. Soon after the incident, the police recovered his body.

In another incident in Khulhat forest area of ​​Morigaon, two forest guards identified as Ghana Das and Gopal Saikia were attacked by a wild jumbo. Both were rushed to a nearby hospital in critical condition and later shifted to the Guwahati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH).

The local forest department is now taking all necessary measures to ensure the safety of those living in and around the forest area. He has also urged people to be extra careful while venturing out in the forest.
