As winter bids adieu in Rajasthan, summer has started showing its force with the temperature in border Barmer crossing 37 degrees Celsius, which is 8.8 notches above normal. On the other hand, the maximum temperature in the capital Delhi is likely to be around 31 degree Celsius.
The Meteorological Department says that the temperature in the state has been recorded up to 10 degrees Celsius above normal. According to the department, due to the development of an anti-cyclonic system over the North Arabian Sea and adjoining Gujarat region, there has been a sudden increase in the temperature in the state in the past days.
According to the data of the Meteorological Center Jaipur, in the last 24 hours, the maximum temperature in the border Barmer was recorded at 37.6 degrees Celsius, which is 8.8 degrees above normal. Whereas in Bikaner it was 36.8 degree Celsius which is 10.2 degree Celsius more than normal. Similarly, maximum temperature was recorded at 36.5 degree Celsius in Jodhpur, 36.2 degree Celsius in Phalodi, 35.5 degree Celsius in Jaisalmer, 35 degree Celsius in Dungarpur and 34.4 degree Celsius in Churu.

It is worth mentioning that right now the dark side of the month of Phagun is going on and during this usually the temperature does not rise suddenly and that much. According to the Meteorological Department, the weather in the state will remain dry for now. However, from February 21-22, under the influence of a weak Western Disturbance, the temperature is likely to drop by 2-4°C.
Delhi Weather: The minimum temperature in the national capital Delhi on Saturday was one degree above normal at 11.7 degrees Celsius. The relative humidity at 8.30 am was 93 percent.
The weatherman has predicted a generally clear sky during the day with the maximum temperature hovering around 31 degrees Celsius. Delhi recorded a minimum temperature of 12.8 degrees Celsius and a maximum of 29.8 degrees Celsius on Friday.
