The victim of Unnao rape case has opposed the 15-day parole granted to former BJP MLA Kuldeep Singh Sengar, who is serving life sentence in the same case, for her daughter’s marriage. He has said that as long as Sengar remains outside, he will remain a threat to the victim and her family as well as to the witnesses.

The victim has released a video statement. In this, he has written a letter to President Draupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Home Minister Amit Shah and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath in this regard, expressing apprehension about the danger to his and his family’s life.

The victim, in her letter released on social media along with the video, has opposed the 15-day parole given to Sengar for her daughter’s marriage. He has said that as long as Sengar remains outside, he will remain a threat to the victim and her family as well as to the witnesses.

Significantly, the Delhi High Court has ordered the release of former MLA Kuldeep Sengar, serving life imprisonment in the Makhi rape case, on parole from January 27 to February 10 to attend his daughter’s wedding.

The victim has also said that the interim bail not granted to her uncle in her sister’s marriage was the result of a conspiracy by the family members of former MLA Sengar. She said in the released video that former MLA Sanger’s wife Sangeeta is thanking the judiciary for her husband’s parole, while my uncle’s parole at the time of my sister’s marriage was opposed by the brother of the former MLA convicted of my father’s murder.
