This year, in an interview with El Heraldo Digital, Julio César Peña Vega, maestro in Mexico-EU studios for the UNAM and licensed in International Relations for Technology in Monterrey, noted that the topic is so large that an international dimension is required for its solution atrapada in the middle of politics. Peña Vega considered that the crisis resulting from participation in this matter is a transnational issue, while countries have seen themselves embroiled in ineffective initiatives and political debates.

Why is fentanyl such a big problem?

Shortly after, in September of this year, a younger man lost his life in a New York guard because he had been in contact with the people of this world. Washington assures that fentanyl precursors also travel from China to Mexico. The Mexican newspapers “are working with chemical companies rooted in the People’s Republic of China to achieve their raw material”, recently said the writer of the United States Anti-Drug Agency (DEA), Anne Milgram.

For his art, Peña Vega realized that this can be traced back to the era of prohibition, as in the case of alcoholism in the 1920s, the increase in drugs and its relationship with the Vietnam War in the 1970s and subsequently the ingestion of cocaine and the surgimiento of cells in Colombia, Central America and Mexico.

What do authorities do to curb the fentanyl problem?

Mexico and China agreed to fight him fentanyl trafficking, During the first meeting of the bilateral Precursors Trade Group, which took place from October 16th to 20th in China, “the two sides agreed on the importance of continuing to cooperate in the scope of their respective jurisdictions and faculties to combat illicit trafficking of estupefacientes,” he informed the Mexican government in a statement.

Mexico and United States agreed on October 6 to redefine their efforts against drug trafficking, during a visit by the head of US diplomacy, Antony Blinken, to the city of Mexico, which was marked by Washington’s surprising announcement to expand the wall frontizo.

The government of the United States has repeatedly ensured that Mexican cartels process drugs, while the government of President Andrés Manuel López Obrador insists that neither fentanyl nor its drugs are manufactured in its territory, but admits that drug traffickers buy the opioid to mix it with other alucinógenos.
