Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the new Parliament Building with Vedic chanting, havan-pujan. During the inauguration of the new Parliament House, Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla, Modi government’s cabinet along with CMs of BJP ruled states were also present in the programme. After that, Prime Minister Narendra Modi released a special coin of 75 rupees prepared by the Ministry of Finance. In his first address in the new building, the PM said that the new Parliament House is a reflection of the aspirations and dreams of 140 crore Indian citizens. This is the temple of our democracy.
The Prime Minister said that some moments of the country’s development journey become immortal and today is one such day.
‘Parliament House will witness the sunrise of self-reliant India’
In the new Parliament House, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said, ‘Today, 28 May 2023, this day is such an auspicious occasion. The country is celebrating Amrit Mahotsav on the occasion of 75 years of independence. An all-faith prayer has been held in the Parliament House complex this morning itself. I congratulate all the countrymen for this golden moment. It is not just a building, it is a reflection of the aspirations of 140 crore Indians. This is the temple of our democracy. We have the nectar period of 25 years. Together we have to make India a developed nation in these 25 years.
He said that this new building will become a means to fulfill the dreams of our freedom fighters. This new building will witness the sunrise of a self-reliant India. This new building will see the fulfillment of the resolutions of a developed India. New paradigms are created only by walking on new paths. Today New India is setting new goals. New enthusiasm, new enthusiasm, new direction, new vision.
Mention of sengol in speech
Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that on this historic occasion, some time ago, the holy Sengol has also been established in the new building of Parliament. In the Great Chola Empire, Sengol was considered a symbol of the path of duty, the path of service, the path of the nation. Under the guidance of Raja ji and the saints of Adhinam, this Sengol became the symbol of transfer of power. Saints from Tamil Nadu, especially from Adhinam, appeared to bless us.
He said that the new building will see the fulfillment of the resolutions of a developed India. Today every Indian is full of pride after seeing the new Parliament House. It also has architecture, heritage, art, skill, culture and constitution. The inner part of the Lok Sabha is based on the national bird peacock, the inner part of the Rajya Sabha is based on the national flower lotus. There is also a national banyan tree in the premises of the Parliament.
Employment to workers
Prime Minister Narendra Modi told that the Parliament House has done the work of providing employment to about 60,000 workers. A digital gallery dedicated to their labor has also been created. Today, when we are celebrating seeing the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha, I am satisfied that we have also built more than 30,000 new panchayat buildings in the country. From Panchayat Bhawan to Parliament House, our loyalty is only one – development of the country, development of the people of the country.
‘The basis of India’s creation’
The Prime Minister said in his address that every decision taken here is going to beautify the times to come. Every wall of the Parliament, its every particle is dedicated for the welfare of the poor. This new building of the Parliament will become the basis for the creation of India.
