Prime Minister Narendra Modi has left for a two-day visit to France. He left for France on Thursday morning on the official invitation of French President Emmanuel Macron. According to Indian time, he will reach Paris at 4 pm. On July 13 and 14, he will stay in France and then from there he will go to the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
Before leaving for France, PM Modi said that he looked forward to meeting French President Emmanuel Macron and discussing ways to take forward the partnership between the two countries.
Chief guest at Bastille Day celebrations
In France, PM Modi will attend the Bastille Day celebrations as the chief guest. He has told in his statement released on the website narendramodi.in that the Indian Tri-Services contingent will be part of the Bastille Day Parade, while the Indian Air Force aircraft will fly-past on the occasion .
He will hold meaningful discussions with PM Modi, French President Emmanuel Macron and other French dignitaries. He will also interact with NRIs, CEOs of Indian and French companies and prominent French personalities.
What is PM Modi’s schedule in France?
- After reaching Paris, PM Modi will go to the Senate at around 7:30 pm Indian time and meet President Gerard Larcher.
- At around 8:45 pm Indian time, PM Modi will hold a meeting with French Prime Minister Elizabeth Borne.
- At around 11 pm Indian time, he will address a program of the Indian community at the prestigious La Seine musical.
- After this, at 12:30 pm, Prime Minister Modi will reach the Elysee Palace for a private dinner hosted by French President Emmanuel Macron. Then it would be 9:30 pm in France.
Strategic partnership will get new momentum
Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to France is expected to give a new impetus to the strategic partnership between the two countries. PM Modi said in his statement, “I look forward to meeting and holding talks with the French leadership, including my French counterpart Elisabeth Borne, President of the French Senate Gérard Larcher and President of the French National Assembly, Yael Brown-Pivet.”
This year marks the 25th anniversary of our strategic partnership. India and France cooperate closely in various fields including defence, space, nuclear, trade, investment, education, culture and people-to-people relations. We also work together on regional and global issues.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will go to UAE on July 15 after completing his two-day visit to France. He will hold talks with Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, President of the UAE and Ruler of Abu Dhabi, on various areas including energy, food security, defense and taking bilateral relations forward.
