In superstition, 3-month-old sick girl was burnt with hot rod, died.

A 3-month-old girl has died due to exorcism and Dagna malpractice in tribal-dominated Shahdol district of Madhya Pradesh. It is alleged that in the name of treatment of pneumonia in Shahdol, the innocent girl was burnt with hot rods, due to which the condition of the girl worsened and she was admitted to the medical hospital Shahdol, where the girl died during treatment.

Baby girl was burned 51 times with hot rods

It is being told that Ruchita, a 3-month-old girl, was ill since birth. When there was a problem of pneumonia and palpitation, the family members tortured the girl 51 times with hot rods in the name of treatment. However, the condition of the child did not improve, rather the child became more ill due to being burnt with hot rods. On the other hand, seeing the condition of the girl getting worse, the family members admitted her to Shahdol Medical College. After which the girl was treated under the supervision of the team of Pediatrics Department of the Medical College, but there was no improvement in the condition of the girl and during the treatment, the girl died late at night.

Awareness campaign is also not effecting

Let us tell you that in the tribal-dominated Shahdol district, Dagna malpractice continues even today. Even today, in the name of treatment, innocent children are branded with hot iron in the villages. Due to which many children have also died. However, despite this, cases of Dagna are still coming to the fore. While the administration is running a large-scale awareness campaign regarding the Dagna malpractice, but its effect is not visible on the villagers, the result of which is that even today such cases are continuously coming to the fore.

In this regard, Shahdol Collector Vandana Vaidya says that the girl died not of Dagna but of pneumonia.
