Delhi’s Deputy Chief Minister and Aam Aadmi Party leader Manish Sisodia has again appeared before the CBI in the Excise Policy case. The CBI is probing the alleged irregularities in Delhi’s excise policy and Sisodia has already been questioned in this.

He gave a long speech at Rajghat before reaching the CBI office. He said that as your party progresses, BJP will continue to be afraid and will continue to get cases done. I am not afraid of going to jail. If I go to jail, be proud of me, don’t be disheartened.

He said that PM Modi is neither afraid of Rahul Gandhi nor any other opposition leader, he is only afraid of Kejriwal and the Aam Aadmi Party. He has said that in the coming time only Aadmi Party will be formed of BJP.

Sisodia tweeted this morning that he did not care if he had to spend a few months in jail. He said in the tweet, “Today again I am going to CBI, I will cooperate fully in all the investigation. Love of lakhs of children and blessings of crores of countrymen are with me. I don’t care if I have to stay in jail for a few months. Bhagat Singh’s follower, Bhagat Singh hanged for the country But it was a small thing to go to jail because of such false allegations.”

Delhi CM Arvind Kejriwal has also said that we pray for your early return from jail.

Earlier, the CBI had called Sisodia for questioning on February 19, but he had asked for a week’s time citing that he was busy with things related to Delhi’s budget.

Controversy over excise policy continues since last year

New excise policy was implemented in Delhi last year. Lieutenant Governor VK Saxena had ordered a CBI inquiry to investigate the alleged irregularities in this. Although the CBI has mentioned the names of 7 people in its charge sheet filed in this case, in which Sisodia’s name is not there.

In this whole matter, the BJP alleges that the Delhi government has done a scam in the liquor policy, while the Aam Aadmi Party alleges that the BJP is deliberately troubling Sisodia through the CBI.

On this matter, the CBI says that it is focusing on the alleged influence of “South Lobby” of businessmen and politicians to change Delhi’s liquor policy in its favor through middlemen, traders and bureaucrats.

Recently, CBI has arrested Buchibabu Gorantla, former chartered accountant of Kavitha, leader of Bharat Rashtra Samithi and daughter of Telangana Chief Minister K Chandrasekhar Rao, in the same case.
