LG Saxena removed AAP leader Jasmine Shah and Rajya Sabha MP ND Gupta’s son Naveen Gupta alleging violation of constitutional provisions.
Both these members are accused of collaborating with private representatives on the boards of DISCOMS owned by Anil Ambani. It is being said that due to this the Delhi government suffered a loss of 8 thousand crores.
BJP leader Adesh Gupta also tweeted that AAP leaders were removed from the DISCOM board by the LG. AAP leaders Jasmine Shah, Naveen Gupta were removed from the board. Allegations of violation of constitutional provisions.
The AAP termed the LG’s order as ‘unconstitutional and illegal’. The party said that only the elected government has the power to issue orders on electricity. The Lt Governor has made a mockery of the Constitution.
Deputy Chief Minister Manish Sisodia said that LG does not accept the decision of the Supreme Court. He cannot change the decision of the cabinet. They do not have the right to take such decisions.
