Lawyers at US President Joe Biden’s home in Wilmington, Delaware have found more classified documents than previously disclosed. The White House gave this information on Saturday.
White House counsel Richard Sauber said in a statement that a total of six pages of classified documents were found during a search of Biden’s private library. The White House had earlier told that only one page had been recovered from there.
In addition, documents were also found from Biden’s garage in December and the Penn Biden Center, his former office in Washington in November, during his vice presidential tenure.
Sauber said in a statement on Saturday that Biden’s personal attorneys had stopped the search after finding a page on Wednesday evening due to lack of security clearance.
Sauber received the rest of the material on Thursday when he arrived accompanied by Justice Department officials. He said the department officials accompanying him seized the documents “immediately”.
