But once again Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani has made an entry in Forbes list of world’s richest people. He has now come at number 17. An increase has been registered in the total net worth of Gautam Adani.
Talking about the total net worth of Gautam Adani, it has reached $62.4 billion. Gautam Adani has become the world’s top gainer with a net gain of $463 million after Adani Group’s shares surged on February 7. Last week, Adani Group Chairman Gautam Adani dropped out of the top 20 from being the third richest person in the world on 17 January 2023.
Shares of Adani Enterprises climbed 25% to hit an all-time high of ₹1,965.50 on Wednesday. Shares of Adani Ports gained 9.64% to ₹598.70. Adani Transmission and Adani Wilmar both hit their upper circuit limits at ₹1,324.45 and ₹399.40 respectively.
Adani gains in Moody’s and Fitch rankings
At the same time, rating agencies have also given good news for Adani Group. Both Moody’s and Fitch, the world’s leading rating agency, have given their reports regarding the loan of Adani Group. Fitch and Moody’s have said in the latest report that the loans taken by Adani Group companies from Indian banks are not so much that there is any risk on their credit quality.
However, a statement from Moody’s warned that if Adani Group becomes more dependent on loans, the risk for banks may increase.
Moody’s said, banks’ exposure to Adani Group is less than 1 percent of their total exposure.
