More than 100 people died for a powerful person earthquake I knew this Monday 18th December the north-east area Chinasaid the official Xinhua news agency.

The earthquake occurred at a shallow depth from the surface Gansu province (Northeast), according to the agency, the emergency management and fire extinguishing services were called to intervene.

The thunder, of magnitude 5.9, follows the Instituto Geofísico Estadounidense (USGS), occurred at 15:59 GMT at a depth of ten kilometres. The USGS initially mentioned a magnitude of 6.

The epicenter of the earthquake was located 100 kilometers south of the provincial capital, Lanzhou, and was followed by various replicas.

Parts of the province of Gansu and the neighboring province of Qinghai were affected, according to Xinhua, and many residents rushed up the street.

Earthquakes are common in China. In August, one of magnitude 5.4 struck the country, killing more than 20 people and causing the destruction of decades of buildings.
