Consolidate MOBILITY ADO on leadership in UITP Latin America Assembly

MOBILITY ADO consolidated its leadership, in the matter of urban movement in Mexico and Europe, during the 20th Assembly of the Union of Public Transport (UITP) Latin America, which was achieved first time in the country.

“In MOBILITY ADO we are working to implement urban transport models in different modalities for cities, with the mission of improving the quality of life of people traveling through mobility”, stated Abascal, on the occasion of the event in which the Secretariat de Movilidad (SEMOVI) was the local entertainer.

The management also detached the operations that the company carries out in Spain, through its Avanza brand which operates the Zaragoza tram and the Granada metro, among other transport models.

During the session “How to make urban electricity a reality in cities”, Raúl Gutiérrez Vargas, director of Crédito Banca de Instituciones y Sector Público de Banco Santander, detailed the inversion in the successful case that represents Line 3 of the Metrobus of the CdMx operated by MIVSA (Movilidad Integral de Vanguardia), subsidiary of MOBILITY ADO.

It turns out that since March of this year the route has totaled 50 new units, 100 for hundreds of electric vehicles, converting to the first Rapid Transit Bus line of its type in Mexico, a project that was possible thanks to the participation of Banco Santander who got a credit to MIVSA for the financing that allowed the acquisition of these innovative vehicles.

Also, as part of the technical visits organized on the second day of activities, they visited the patio of Line 3 of the Metrobus to show operators, manufacturers and governments of different Latin American countries the best practices implemented in Mexico.

It should be noted that the division of the International Union of Public Transport in Latin America celebrated the 20th Assembly in its capital first time in Mexico.

The event brought together industry leaders, local authorities and LATAM, combining an agenda of debates on public transport, sustainable housing, electricity, inclusion and prepayment.

The best regional experiences were also presented with a recognition report for the outstanding projects and a technical visit to the transport systems of the country’s capital.

Therefore, through the pursuit of inversions and improvements, using electric buses, BRT, line extension, digitalisation of services and reduction of CO2, recognition was given to the government of the CdMx for the implementation of the Integral Movement Program 2019-2024 , which was received by the Secretary of Movement, Andrés Lajous Loaeza.

First of all, José Antonio Pérez Antón, director general of MOBILITY ADO, inaugurated the participation with a dialogue on the issues of sustainable circulation, at the shared panel with Mohamed Mezghani, general secretary of the UITP.
