The first month of the year brought devastation for Pakistan. In the month of January itself, there were 44 terrorist attacks in Pakistan in which hundreds of people lost their lives. At least 110 people were killed in a suicide attack on a mosque in Peshawar city on Monday. According to the report of Pakistan Institute for Conflict and Security Studies, terrorist attacks increased by 139 percent in January. After July 2018, the maximum number of attacks have happened in this January. According to reports, hundreds of people were killed and at least 254 people were injured in the terrorist attacks. However, the true figures are much higher than this.

According to statistics, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa has witnessed the maximum number of attacks in the new year as well. Although the number of terrorist incidents has decreased in the month of January as compared to the previous months. There was also a terrorist attack in Khyber Tribal District in January. At the same time, Pakistani security forces claim that 52 attacks were averted due to their alertness. Apart from this, many terrorists have been killed in which at least 40 have been killed in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Let us tell you that Pakistan has been so shaken by the terrorist incidents that it has now started believing that it has a hand behind giving shelter to the terrorists and raising the Mujahideen. The Home Minister of Pakistan had also said after the Peshawar attack that such attacks do not happen in India when people are killed at the time of prayer. Please tell that 17 people died in terrorist attacks in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa in December while 116 people died in January.

At least 232 people were injured in the province. After the Peshawar attack, the police had said that it was taking on the terrorists, so the terrorists were targeting it. The TTP, however, did not claim responsibility for the attack. In the past too, TTP never took responsibility for the attacks on mosques. Terrorist incidents have increased in Bannu, Charsadda, Swabi districts in the last few months. Pakistan is now running an operation against terrorists in Punjab province. Three security personnel were killed in four terror attacks in Punjab. There were also two small terrorist attacks in Sindh.
