In South-Kashmir’s Pulwama district, two terrorists involved in the killing of a Kashmiri Hindu Sanjay Sharma on Sunday have been gunned down in the Padgampura area of Pulwama. The slain terrorists have been identified as Aqib Mustaq Bhat and Ejaz Ahmed of Pulwama. An army soldier has also been martyred in the encounter.
Jammu and Kashmir Police Additional Director General of Police (ADGP) Kashmir Zone Vijay Kumar told that the slain terrorist initially worked for terrorist organization HM, nowadays he was working with TRF.
The fight started after a joint team of police and security forces received inputs about the presence of terrorists in that area. After the security forces cordoned off the area, the terrorists hiding there started firing, the security forces retaliated.
Kashmiri Pandit was killed on 26 February
A 40-year-old Kashmiri Pandit, who worked as a security guard at an ATM, was shot dead by suspected terrorists on the morning of February 26 in South Kashmir’s Pulwama. Sanjay Sharma, who worked as an ATM guard, was shot point blank (point black) in the chest in Achan area of South Kashmir district at around 11 am.
